We are the Chicken Coop Co-operative!

We are a group of urban farmers in Minneapolis, Minnesota who have collectively and collaboratively undertaken the task of building a chicken coop and caring for eight lovely avian ladies. We have 3 New Hampshire Reds, 2 Rhode Island Reds, and 3 Welsummers.

As a co-op, we use Google Docs, Facebook, and email for organization. We have a bank account to which we each contribute dues. We have a member agreement, and we keep detailed logs of egg production and hours worked by each member. All the farmers we’ve asked for advice exclaim, “You all are organized!”
